PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS VERSION 5 OR 6???

Hi Everyone....I need some advice....I am going to purchase Photoshop Elements....but I need to know if Version 5 or Version 6 is better OR does it matter???
Please help me...
It's my birthday this weekend and I am going to purchase it then...
Please give me your advice.......

Well, I only have version 5 so I can't comment on which is better. I like my PSE 5 though. Hopefully someone else will come along who has had both and can advise you better!

Like proverbswoman I also have 5. There were a few bugs with 6 but I think one can get around them - Jennifer has 6 and can let us know.

I've got 6 and love it. I've tried 5 too and it is awesome. I would say get 6 simply because it is the newest version and it's easier to get some of the plug-ins and things for the new version.

I have 6, and that is because it is the newest version. I just started scrapping and did the trial for 30 days before purchasing. There are lots of good tutorials out there to help you thru it.

I just upgraded from PSE4 to PSE6 (skipped 5 altogether) and think it's great. While 5 would be fine (and you probably could get it cheaper),I would suggest you go with 6 for the reasons mentioned above. If money is an issue, just get 5 and wait for PSE 7!
