How many of you have kids? Are you pregnant? Trying to conceive? A grandparent? Stepparent? Furparent?

DH has two kids from his first marriage, we hardly get to see them since we are stationed overseas and they live with their mother in the states. We've been trying for our first together for almost 2 years now.
We also have two cats who are my babies, I love them to death. Since I don't have babies of my own to scrap I end up scrapping pics of the kitties a lot

I have one boy, 10 years old, love him to pieces.....most of the time, other times I threaten to trade him in for a girl LOL. He keeps me busy with hockey and baseball.
I have a cat that I rescued. We were going to keep him until he was old enough to find a good home for......a year later I still have the cat. We have a love/hate relationship which my son finds funny.

Love the new avatar pic Jennifer!

I have 5. One girl (the oldest) and four boys. Their ages are 21, 19, 17, 4, and 7 months. I'm done. I'm just getting too old for anymore. I'll just wait for grandbabies in a few years.
My three oldest are from a previous marriage. My 2nd husband didn't have any children of his own so we decided to have one together. Well then we could very well let him grow up as pretty much an only child (since there's the big gap) and decided to have another. They're a little farther apart than I would have liked but I guess that's the way it's suppose to be.

Jennifer- It will happen hon, don't get discouraged. When the time is right it will happen. (I know, I hated hearing that too and I'm almost embarassed to say it myself) my little story- We started trying for one together in Jan. 2000 and didn't get pg until late 2002! Then it took another 3 years and a loss to have the youngest. Both times it was when I finally said it's never gonna happen, I give up! I quit keeping track of everything. And as much as I hated people telling me I just needed to relax and it would happen I think that's what did happen. Of course I'll never admit that. LOL. Just want to wish you the best and I'll keep you in my prayers. I know it's a hard road. ((hugs))

2 for now (7 and almost 4). We'd like to have another one, but really need some more space first. We're crammed into a 2-bedroom right now and I don't think I could fit a third child in the second bedroom, kwim? If we get to move this year like we plan (fingers crossed!), then we can start trying again.

I've got my 2 beautiful daughters, Brooke who will be 4 on Saturday and Abby who is 2 and a half. I would love to have another baby. I'm one of those weird people who loved being pregnant despite all the troubles I had! I also have a dog, named Russ (after the son in the Chevy Chase movies! sad, I know) Nick brought him home to me when he was only 4 weeks old. But he doesn't like his picture taken, so you probably won't see much of him!:lolt:

I have a 10 yo dd and one due any minute now, also a girl. This baby will be the first for DH and I can't wait for him to get to experience fatherhood from the very beginning (we met when dd #1 was just turning 5). We also have 2 pugs, one is 4 and the newest is totally psychotic @ 8 months.

Jennifer your avie is gorgeous and hugs, ttc is hard, it will happen when you least expect it. We didn't try for too long but ironically enough it happened the month when my stinkin ovulation holder (an electronic one) was only giving me error messages, lol. So I thought we had missed the slim window, obviously not heehee...it will come. *hugs*

Kids? No; Pregnant? No; Trying? No; Grandparent? No; Stepparent? No; Furparent? YES!!!

A few years ago some people on my street moved out and just left their cat behind and she was living in the dumpster, so I had to save her! She is a beautiful, friendly black cat who I named Hemelgarn.

Also, I am the best Aunt in the world, or so my 2 nieces tell me!!!

Aw, thanks Jennifer for posting this thread, it is so neat to get to know a little bit about everyone!

Am I pregnant? NO Am I trying to conceive? No, but I keep telling my boyfriend of five years that he needs to make it official as my clock is ticking! Seeing all the gorgeous LO's of your beautiful little tykes makes me so anxious!!!

I am a proud furparent though - which if you ever browse my gallery you will see, lol I have three ferrets and I love them all to death!

I have 2 girls , 2 boys ,1 granddaughter and 1 son in law.
We've had a lot pets in the past. All past away peacefully
of old age. Now, with school and work, we have not enough
time for pets. It would not be right to get them and then
leaving them home allone all day.
My oldest daughter has a sweet little kitten called Poema.

I have a wonderful son from a previous relationship and two great kids with my husband (soon to be ex but we're good friends, it's ok!) My oldest son is 14 1/2 and graduating from middle school this year, wah! My middle daughter is a handful and very smart, she's finishing second grade before she turns 7 in a couple weeks. My youngest boy was with me every day for 4 years but we finally put him in preschool a couple months ago, and he'll start kindergarten when he turns 5 in the fall, wah! I wasn't going to have another baby after my daughter because by 1 1/2 years old she was almost too much for me to handle, then along came my youngest. You never know ;-)

I'm 40 and don't do pregnancy well, I get preeclampsia, so no more kids for me! As far as pets we had a cat that was crazy and my daughter seemed to be allergic so we gave him away. But I was just offered a newborn kitten and my daughter's outgrown other allergies, so maybe......?! We do have a fish, male betta, he's blue and so his name is Bluey (named by my youngest). He's a lot of fun to talk to and watch LOL

We have one beautiful daughter...almost 3 going on 15. She is the pure definition of "girly-girl" and I am trying to figure out where on earth she got it from. We got pregnant with her within 2 weeks of starting to try and we thought we would like to have our kids about 2 years apart, but alas, we have now been trying for 1 1/2 years, so it is tough and an insanely crazy emotional roller coaster, but it is in Higher Hands (I just have to keep telling myself that).

I'm married, and have been on that TTC roller coaster for over two years now. No kids for either of us so far, but we have three fur babies! Bucky is our oldest, an all black cat that is about seven years old. Callie is the middle 'child' a Calico (not real creative on this one!) that is three years old and the largest of the bunch.

The newest addition is Yoshi, who you all will see a lot of! He is our 9 month old Japanese Chin puppy who makes my day every day. I just love having a dog - I have always had cats until now.

I just started digi-scrapping after the first of the year and I love it! I am totally addicted and it is great to have found a creative outlet for me. The orchard is a fantastic place to be!

I have two grown kids -- Sarah who will be 44 next week and Fred who will be 40 in December. (Yup, 4.5 years, almost to the day in spite of the fact that we started trying for #2 almost immediately.) Sarah is married and has 3 -- Patrick 14, Matthew 12, and Meaghan 10. This year Patrick graduates from middle school and Matthew, who has mild Down syndrome, graduates from elementary school. None of my human kids live nearby, but I am the doting "mom" of my feline furbaby, Misty, who is roughly eight. I absolutely adore her and she has seen me through some pretty rough times.

I'm one of 6 and DH is an only child, so we compromised...however, I would have liked 3...but even I am a little resistant for a third after my youngest....WHEW...totally addicted to Mommy...can't leave the room without him noticing (it was cute the first few times)....ARRRGGHh..ahahahah :lolt:

I have 3.

Kourtni is 9, Kiana is 7 and our little one is Jackson and he just turned 1. We want another one NOW, but unfortunatly, DH just had to have life altering surgery, and I lost my job, so we're both jobless, and are scrambling to stay afloat as it is. :( We really want a sibling by the time Jackson is 2, but it's very likely that that won't happen. :( Maybe down the road, if things turn around for us.

Good luck to all those TTC. I'm fortunate, but I've been around many people who are infertile, and most have had happy endings. There's a lot of options out there right now, and those that though they could never have a baby, have one. :) Don't give up, and good luck to you all!!

I'm retired (7 years now) and have one DD and SIL who have given me Maya, who will soon be 2 years old. Well, they haven't actually GIVEN her to me, altho sometimes I'm sure they consider it. LOL I also have my late husband's children, who are so close to my age that I just can't refer to them as DSD or DSS, or the three grandchildren as "steps" either. The children are more like friends but I do claim the grands as grands!

My late husband and I met in a singles RV club where he had been president for 5 years. He said they kept amending the bylaws, so he had to get married! LOL People sure looked at me funny when he said that! So, we both loved RVing and continued to do so until his health was so bad that we couldn't. He's been gone for over a year now, so I'm in the process of moving into my 30' motorhome to live and travel fulltime, as long as that's possible with my worsening physical limitations.

People always ask if I travel alone, and I assure them that I don't--I have two dogs who are always with me. But since they're usually asleep in their kennels while we're moving, I use a GPS with a laptop up front to be sure we don't get lost. They are lots of company, and I'm always meeting new friends on the road and then finding them again later down the road. With gas prices, I now usually go somewhere and stay for several weeks to cut down on expenses. I'm also looking into getting into a volunteer mode so that I can have a free campsite and utilities by working 20 hours or less a week. If you want to know more about my lifestyle, check out my blog. I just found out I'm not supposed to put a link to it here, but it's at "whats-fran-doing-now.blogspot.com". :wavehi:

Good grief! How did I write all that? I'm getting so chatty in my old age!!

Thanks, Honeybee! I have friends who travel and have blogs, so I thought it would be an easy way for me to keep everyone who is interested up-to-date on what I'm doing and where I am. Hopefully my activities will become more interesting and less stressful--but what can I expect with a 1988 (yep!) motorhome. The good thing is that traveling all the time gives me lots of photo opps, and I've been able to meet several of my friends from DSP (where I've been scrapping for the past 18 months) when I was near where they lived. Hope you'll leave me a comment once in a while. :wavehi:

I have 2 from my previous marriage; my son is 13 and my daughter is 11 (turning 12 next week). DH has a DD who is 15 or 16 from a previous marriage that he hasn't seen since she was 7 or so! (Long story - but DD's grandparents wouldn't let him see his own child!)

I am so grateful for Scott - he treats my kids no different than his own flesh & blood - we've been married for 7 years now so DS & DD were young when we married). Lots of people assume Scott is their dad b/c of the way they interact with each other!
