Here is your element challenge for June, a month long known for it's popularity for weddings. Your layout should contain elements to meet the following four criteria:

Something old
Something new
Something borrowed
Something blue

Your layout can be a wedding layout if you choose but it can be of any subject you choose.

Here are just a few suggestions of how you may interpret this challenge:

Something old can be a heritage photo, or an element from a kit you downloaded a while back but never got around to using or it can be an element that looks old or distressed.

Something new can be a photo you just took today, a new baby or anything else that is "new" that you photograph, or it can be an opportunity to go and purchase that new kit you have had your eye in so you have a new element to play with.

Something borrowed can mean that you have completed your entire layout with just one kit and then used (borrowed) just one element from a different kit, or you may find a layout in the gallery that has a unique use of an element which you would then (borrow) the idea or scraplift just that portion of the layout to use their idea.

Something blue should be the easiest part. Just use any blue element on your page. You can either recolor an element to make it the shade of blue you need or just use a blue element as it is.

Of course you may interpret this challenge in an entirely different way and so that is why I ask you to list your interpretation of this challenge when you post your gallery link here on this thread. I can't wait to see what you come up with. I will be back soon with my challenge layout.

Whahoo I got my example layout done for this challenge. Read below to see how I met the 4 criteria.

Something old - Kami's beautiful alpha Shabby Scout has been out a while and looks a bit rustic to me. She has it up as a freebie on her blog if you haven't got it you should go get it.

Something new - Well Kami's kit French Quarter is new in the shop, but I also went with a photo subject that is new - what is newer than a baby on her birth date?

Something borrowed - I used the frame from Kami's kit Doldrums while everything else came from one kit French Quarter.

Something blue - you can see the gorgeous blue paper and elements I used from French Quarter I am sure.

I had a great time with this challenge. Hope you'll play along too.
