How do you do your layouts?

Do you pick your photos first? Do you pick your kit first? Do you grab a template and use that as your starting point?

What is the most common way for you to go about working on your layouts?:angelt:

Usually photos, then template, then kit. It varies, though.

Lately I have been grabbing a template(I use them for inspiration) or a sketch, then my photos, then a kit.

I do LOVE templates. I think I am going to start on a wedding album soon and probably will start with templates everytime! :lolt:

Sometimes i get a kit and know exactly which picture i have to use,
and sometimes the other way around.
I have never used templates, i just don't know how :doh4:

lol, I have been obsessed with templates for my wedding album! It's made it go that much quicker to scrap.

I usually do kit, then photos. Don't think the kit fits the photos so I start over LOL.
Depends, sometimes I just 'know', don't use templates as much as I used to. Flying on my own trying different things.

It really depends on my mood. If I just bought a kit I love or for a specific purpose and I have time, I will try to find photos to use with it. Otherwise it's usually photos first.

It depends. I find if I have a photo first, it goes the best; but, I also love templates and sometimes find a photo that suits the template.

Mostly right now, it is kit first, then photos, then template (I get the template last, because I have to find one to fit teh amount of photos I want to use).

I'm finding myself using templates quite a bit lately because of time issues. I choose photos first, then template, then kit/papers/elements to fill the template.
If I don't use a template I end up changing things all over the place. I'll have a picture in mind, start to scrap then change my mind about the picture, then find that the kit I used isn't quite right and find another. By the time I'm done I don't even know what I started out with.:huht:

If i begin to change things around all the time, i stop. Because it won't work at all.
When i see a photo, i get an idea how it should look.
I tried now to work with templates, but i still can't do it.
I keep looking in the gallery and i think it looks so nice.
Maybe i'm to used to do it my own way...
