I'm about to the point where I can get a scrapbook printed, and I think I'm going with Shutterfly. However, you can design a cover for it and I don't know where to start! Does anyone have any ideas? What do you normally do? My book is just a collection of pages from the past 6 months, there is no "one" picture or theme that I can think of that would sum it up. Any help would be appreciated!

I've published six with blurb.com, and I have put one of my scrapbook pages on each cover, front and back.
I'm working on books 7-10 right now. It's such fun!

You could make a collage of your pages. Use smaller versions stacked and overlaid on one another so you just see parts of them.

How abotu just a family picture with some pretty background paper? or just a pic of the main subjects in the book?
I did our christmas album and I put our christmas card on the front.

When I printed the ones for my kids, I just made a scrapbook LO with one photo (kind of centered) on the page. I just chose a photo that I really liked. Then I put their name underneath. HTH!

I have had a few books printed and I have found that I kind of prefer the cover to be fairly simple. My last book just had a pciture of my family with some flourishes and a frame around the photo and the rest was just left white and I just used the ever-so-clever title..."Family." hehe. But you could always use the equally as clever title..."memories." I have a few with scrapbook pages as the cover but...I'm not so crazy about those. That's just my personal taste, though. Good luck!!

I used blurb.com and they offer this really cool soft cover wrap. I used a few photos through out the time line of the book on the back cover, and one main one on the front. I thought it turned out great.
