July Element Challenge

Hey girls - ready for another challenge? I decided to go ahead and get the challenge posted so if you are ready to roll, you can get started. I hope to get mine done very soon and will edit my post to show you when my lo is done. The first thing to mind when I think of July is Independence Day. I decided to go with STARS AND STRIPES FOREVER for the challenge. Here is how you break it down - your layout must contain:

STARS (yep more than one star)
AND (the word "and" or the symbol for it "&" needs to be easily seen on your page)
STRIPES (either a striped paper or create at least 2 stripes on your layout by using solid papers)
FOREVER (this word must be used in your title)

Here is a fun thing to remember as you plan your page: You do not have to use the colors red, white and blue nor does your layout have to be a 4th of July theme. (But it can be if you like.) Your layout can be any color combo and any theme as long as you meet the 4 requirements listed above. Have fun and be sure to post your link at this thread so that we can give you some luv. :tt1:

Thanks Tiffany! I am working on trying some 'cleaner' layouts but I just can't help piling those elements on. I'm ready to see some more takes on this challenge - I loved it!

I hear ya Jaime. I love all the digi goodies and I don't feel like I have to skimp saying to myself that all these elements just cost too much to put them all on one page lol. Sometimes that can cause me to overload a page too. When I start to feel like I am going overboard I often close the layout down for a while and then come back to it so I don't get tempted to do too much. I think your page is wonderful as it is though! Sometimes it is fun to pile it on!

Hi, I'm a total newbie here, but this challenge sounds so fun!! So a quick question before I get started on it... do all the bits I use have to be from Scrap Orchard designers, or can I use any designer as long as I give them credit?

Of course we would love it if you used Scrap Orchard products! As long as you give credit to the designer then you are welcome to use any products.
