Dad's Favorite Sloppy Joes
Serves 6
1 pound extra-lean ground beef
1 medium stalk celery, sliced
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 1/2 cups ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 1/2 tablespoons mustard
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef; add the celery and onion and saute till veggies are tender, then add ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar and mustard.
Simmer for about 10 minutes; serve.
Per Serving: 160 Calories; 8g Fat; 9g Protein;14g Carbohydrate; 1g Dietary Fiber; 31mg Cholesterol; 462mg Sodium. Exchanges: 1 Lean Meat; 0 Vegetable; 1 Fat; 1 Other Carbohydrates
SERVING SUGGESTION: Serve meat mixture in lightly toasted whole wheat burger buns. Add a bowl of coleslaw on the side (use a ready-made mix and toss with mayo and a little rice vinegar) and a bowl of raw baby carrots.
VEGETARIANS: Use TVP crumbles instead of ground beef.
KOSHER: No changes necessary.

I would have to say No :( I am not excited about Christmas this year, my youngest son and his wife moved to Chicago and my oldest son and his family have too many other family obligations and I don't want to put more stress on their holidays so I step back from requiring anything from them and then we celebrate either before or after...we were gonna go camping but it snowed so we couldn't!!! So no I was not excited about Christmas this year!!!

Yes I am! I have a strict rule that my Christmas decorations have to be down by New Year, that way my house is all neat and tidy for New Year's Day. I have some strange thought that if I start the New Year that way, then I'll find time to keep it completely neat and clean all year. It never works, but I keep trying, LOL.

Well, no, actually I've been doing really good with my scrapping this last week. But I do have weeks where that happens cause the mojo just up and disappears.
TSBM has a new camera for Christmas and can't wait til January when our new photo challenges start up.
