Ok i havent been too much of a success in giving that grunge look. I have used brushes (maybe i dint use the right kind of brushes) and burn tool to give that effect, but it still doesnt look that good. does anyone have anything to share/add??
Shauna has the most amazing overlays and they're all CU. You can find them here:

The other way I can think of than using the brushes is using some ready made overlays - Shauna has got several awesome sets in the store!

Hi,
you have to make your own brushes. take a picture of an old wall or some other grungy texture, use the "stamp" filter on it and then create a brush from the result. Looks awesome!
Hpe that helps!

I use Photoshop - and I often use a brush and make the pixelsize very big. And an inner shadow is also very good to give the grunge effect a bit extra...
