Do you have a favorite movie, thing you do, or food you like that you think is so weird, you don't often admit to it. What is your guilty pleasure?
Mine is Spam. I make a great casserole from it, but I'm too embarrassed to serve it to friends. Spam is either a love-it or a hate-it food. (I refuse to eat scrapple, though.)

Hmm I don't know if this classifies as a guilty "pleasure", but I love a good old sappy movie that makes me cry! BUT I have to be on my own to really cry because I get embarrassed of other people seeing me crying at a movie LOL So I save it until I have that rare moment to myself!

Sandy, the Spam capitol of the world is located not too far from here...so, remember that if you ever come to Minnesota.
I have so many guilty pleasures so will have to think of one to share.
Guilty pleasures.............hmmmmmm. I love tuna mixed with mushroom soup and onions (heated up of course) and poured over a bed of white rice.
Indian Head Massage (unfortunately not something I can do as often as would like), this massage beats any other massage. It focuses completely on the shoulders, upper back, neck, head and face. The lady who does mine even spends a little extra time and drains my sinuses for me.

Wow... sounds phenomenal. Of course, it would be a LOT of extra time for my sinuses right now....fall allergy season has reared it's ugly head... :cursing:
I love a good pedicure, but hate spending the money... so I guess that qualifies as a "guilty pleasure".

I love sugary cereals. My mom wouldn't let me have them as a kid and now I'm making up for it. Fruity Pebbles got me through my first pregnancy!
Sometimes I feel bad for walking around the store with so much "bad" cereal in my cart and my 5 children milling around me. But it's not just for them and they actually LIKE the plain cheerios! (That's good because I won't eat them.)

Pedicures are a neccessity!
Arlyn-
I am in my 40s and STILL love cocoa pebbles...and like you put other cereals in cart so it appears the pebbles are for my kid!
Cathi-

Sandy, Hormel is headquartered here. Cookie bars? Not sure about those but we do have Pillsbury and General Mills here.
Drop Dead Gorgeous? Book?
I love me a pedicure but doesn't happen near enough.
Along those lines I would have to say fake nails. My DD bought them for me for Mother's Day, it was a mom daughter thing...do you think there was ulterior motive involved...anyhoo, I still have those fake nails and just aren't ready to give them up.

arlyn- haha, that sounds so much like me! captain crunch and tucan sam are personal friends of mine!:icon_blaugh:
My guilty pleasure is anything that I have hidden up in the cabinet, way up high, behind the seasonal kitchen items. Usually its candy. This week it was licorice, and then bridge mix. DH asked me if there was any bridge mix left last night and I lied and said no.LOL, guess my guilty pleasure is hiding candy from the family.

Just be careful...a misguided softball can take off a thumbnail. Don't ask me how I know... Those acrylics just don't give!!!
I have a guilty pleasure coming up...girls weekend in the mountains. We leave next Friday! (and I may start out with a pedicure!! LOL!!)

There ya go!
Girls weekend in itself is a pleasure - but make it guilt free - you deserve it. In the mountains nonetheless - awesome! On my latest girls' weekend we were mere miles from a tornado touch down. Once things settled down somewhat but still windy, I went under the tarp for wood for fire that was way oversized and dang it if I didn't lose a nail.
omg this is so much fun. let me see... guilty pleasure...um... i love gummi bears!! i usually have a bag open and i grab a couple throught out the day.. i really like it when they get a little dried out (chewier)
Robbie Williams and sappy romance comedies. Nothing makes me feel quite as nice as a block of chocolate and watching the intensely cute Jude Law in The Holiday or Alan Rickman buggering his marriage in Love Actually.
Robbie Williams... apart from being a bit of English crumpet, is just a pleasure to listen to after an awful day's work.

And sure enough last night the guys were throwing golf balls up to me and both times it hit the same nail that I lost under the tarp which is the same nail that I had previously lost...only 2 times I've lost a nail. Thought of you w/the baseball.

I LOVE me some Kraft PB on Wonder hot dog buns...I know it's weird, but I will literally eat a dozen of them in one sitting! Doesn't exactly help this preggo figure, but I'm eating for a good cause!

Rocky Road ice cream.
Waffles with sprinkles.
fresh buffalo mozzarella
zeppoline(fried seaweed dough balls)
expensive pajamas. I have a pajama fetish, I loooove them. I rarely spend money on nice ones though. I just bought some roxy ones that are beyond luxurious.

My guily pleasure would have to be Cappacino Blasts from Baskin & Robbin, I'll get into a kick and will buy one practically every day! I get sooooo out of hand with those!
I also have a weak spot for sales...I can't help it, the thought of buying something 50 to 90% off rather than paying full price, just draws me in!! It's probably more like an addiction that I really should go to a program for though!!!

A can of cold Mountain Dew with a straw.
To no surprise for those in the south.... SWEET TEA!!!!!
Preferrably served in a tall glass (no plastic!) with a good amount of ice, and a long straw, on the back porch, in the shade, with the cicadas just starting up their afternoon song.

I never drank hot coffee all my life, but ever since McDs came up with that iced Hazelnut coffee, I can't pass by without buying a large one!. I had to back off recently because I am afraid to look up the calories...I don't wanna know. I started buying the CoffeeMate version and make my own at home...it's pretty close.

Want a good homeade iced coffee tip??
Make ice cubes out of cooled coffee and use those for your drink. That way, when the cubes melt your coffee drink doesn't get watered down. :hyper:

you know what you might want to try? Buy some Torani syrup (they have oodles of flavors and some come in sugar free) mix it with some cold coffee and some half and half then sweeten to your liking.
For quite a while I could go by BK without getting a mocha joe. I would have it all gone before I even got out of the parking lot! :eek2: I finally decided that it was better on my budget to make them at home. LOL. I usually have one every few days.

Well, my name is Michelle and I am addicted to Grande Decaf Iced Caramel Macchiato's......I am also addicted to almond M&M's.....Brownies with walnuts in them and McDonalds. ROFL!!! I have to have one of my addictions every day, and sometimes I can't even stop at one...I've hit up Starbucks and McDonalds in the same day. :blushing:
I am finding that nursing is making me crave way more things than I ever did when I was pregnant! I'm more out of hand now than I was then! I think it's all the calories being taken away from me by baby...at least that's my excuse lol!

When it comes to food, my guilty pleasures are: ice cream, Taco Bell Crunchwraps, ice cream, ice cream sandwiches, Sonic Strawberry slushes, and ice cream. LOL
Also, I am WAY in love with the music from High School Musical (1 and 2) and a few of the other Disney Channel movies. I was chatting with a friend who has a daughter that's seven or eight, and she was talking about how her daughter and all her little friends were so into HSM (in an "isn't it so cute; aw, to be a child again" kind of tone) ... I was SO embarrassed that I knew all the words to all the songs!! (And I say this as I wear my HSM pajama bottoms -- EEK!) Yup, I'm officially a dork!

Guilty pleasure... I have a few. I love shopping (clothes, digi kits, shoes) but I shouldn't call that guilty but when you have no money... I love Tinkerbell! I have two boxes of just Tinkerbell stuff but I'm afraid to get it out for fear of people thinking I'm a dork... hot chocolate in the summertime... ice cream....

Ok... so I ended up scrapping one of my guilty pleasures for the November Font Challenge (http://scraporchard.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3659), which had the extra element of "favorite food". LOL!!! Thought I would share it here, too.
This is our Halloween basket (all candy gets dumped into one place for sharing)--and this is AFTER all the stuff we don't like has been removed. The basket has at least a 15-inch diameter(that's about 38cm for my Candian friends) :wave2:
And we have a rule--no child gets chocolate without also bringing a piece to either me or hubby...LMBO!!!! Lazy and addicted...gotta love it. :woot:

Guilty pleasure - digital scrapbooking and taking so many pictures. Sounds quite normal here because we all do the same thing, but in San Antonio, between other moms at the playground or after school, I don't even mention it.
as far as food goes - it is soy milk with chai. The amounts I consume make my DH think I am nuts. Especially when he goes to the store to get me 5 boxes of hot tea!

That definitely sounds like me and Starbucks frappucino - the one in the bottle. Whenever we are all in the car, Sam(DH) usually makes a stop at the gas station, gets me a frappucino, and it is gone in 4 gulps - I finally decided to make them here at home!

I have a few guilty pleasures--
Fruit poptarts with frosting, toasted, and lightly buttered. I don't share.
Rice or noodles or mashed potatoes with butter, salt and pepper. Love that starch.
Quilting fabric. What, who needs a reason to buy fabric?!?
Mark Harmon--Agent Gibbs. I think I'd leave DH for him!
Murder mysteries-like Jonathan Kellerman and James Patterson books.
Video games--addicted to Tetris and Dr. Mario!
And poodles.
Although, I'm not really sure that deep down I feel all that guilty about them:blush:
