View Full Version : Soft folded ribbons
Hi, some designers ribbons have such a beautiful, soft, painted look, with lots of folds in the ribbon. They really don't look scanned, but I always think they must be!? The are not crisp with lots of definition, but almost painted looking, but they can't be painting them..... can they? :) I am dying to know how they do that, with a filter? Thanks!

I know that I've seen instructions through another site (they sell them), but that is for
folded ribbons...not really sure what you mean by a painted, soft look.
I know that I "paint" with photoshop, but I've never done the ribbons.
I'd love to know how to create a knot.

Is it like these? I make mine using AV Bros filter and lots of pasting, cutting and fitting - I assemble the ribbon piece by piece, finding a perfect match for every part. They take time though, but it's worth it!

Sorry, I was gone on vacation. Thanks Irene, I never realized someone took THAT much time and technique to create that ribbon! :)
How do I post an image here? I would like to be able to show a ribbon I am talking about . I read the FAQs and it said to hit the Post Reply button in main thread and look for the Manage Attachments button below this message box, but I don't see it...
I hope someone comes back to this thread since I have been gone for a while and might have missed my opportunity! Thanks anyway , for the response I already have received!- Bonnie
upload your image to a photo managing site, and then to post it copy the code, click on the little yellow window with the mountain in it and paste code there. Hit post reply and your image should be there.
