drop shadows not behaving

In PS I set up the shadow effects; move on to another layer- but trying to have slightly different attributes, why does changing the angle cause earlier layers to change too? Hope this makes sense.

When applying the drop shadow style, uncheck the "Use GLobal Light" and you will work only with the curent layer while the others will remain unchanged! :) HTH!

I never knew that! great tip! I have often wished I could change that without having to separate the shadow from the layer, now I know how! lol learn something new every day!
