Some ground rules and guidelines before we start the speed scrap..! You do *not* have to use Happy Tails (http://scraporchard.com/forum/../market/product.php?productid=17097)... it just happens to be the kit I used to make my sample layout and all the elements, papers, frames and what not will be in this kit... however, the rules are not too exclusive to not allow for other kits to be used.

I will begin with posting the first rule at 5PM (Pacific)/8PM (Eastern) sharp and continue to post the remaining rules in 5-10 minute increments. All the rules, forum willing, will be posted in an hour and then you will have another 2 hours, gallery willing, to post your masterpieces! Everyone who posts a layout will receive a PM from me with the download link(s) for the Welcome to The Orchard kit!

Post an introduction or quick "Hello" as soon as you arrive so I know who's playing along!

Oh my poor dog - I got my puppy when I was 4 - he lived for over 17 years. I have an album I'm trying to pic out pictures, this poor dog was such a good sport. He's posed with all sorts of things - wearing all sorts of things! LOL - he was a great dog though.

Well.. with all the activity everything has been running really slow.. if you cannot get them uploaded to the gallery.. upload them to photobucket or another free image hosting place and link it back in this thread...!

make sure your layout is sized down and under 150 k...see if that helps

Pumpkin (cat) - 11 years, Furbee (cat) - 10 years, Blu (cat) - 5 years, Pixel (chihuahua) - 4 years (?), Tyler (big dog) - 4 years, Rocky (big chihuahua) - 1.75 years, Roxie (big dog) - 1.75, Bindi (chihuahua) - 1 year, Moxie (chihuahua) - 11 months... Now Captain Jack Sparrow (he's our ferrel cat we adopted) we don't know how old he is, but are pretty sure he's under 1 year.

Flash my turtle.. I have had her for 11 years.. but I don't know how old she really is!

Put the photo in the layer above your background.. on the Layers Palette there should be a drop down menu that says "Normal" ... click on that drop down menu and play around with the different blend modes.

1. Hopefully, you came prepared with your favorite pet(s) photos or have an idea of which ones you want to us. If not, take a few moments to select 3 or more photos of one or more of your fur-babies (or feather-babies or scale-babies.. I have one of these, she's a box turtle and her name is Flash). Using one photo..? Then just use it three or more times!

2. Now select at least two papers but no more than three and at least one has to be patterned.

3. Let's talk frames. Grab two frames, no more, no less. The frames don't have to be traditional frames, they can be doodles, some ribbons or even stitching.. anything can be used to frame your photos.

4. Start arranging your photos, frames and papers... at least one of the papers has to be either cropped, torn or folded to allow the paper behind it to peek through.

5. At least one of the photos must be twice the size of the other ones and two of the photos need to be lined-up either vertically or horizontally.

6. One and only one of the frames should be smaller than the photo, leaving some of the photo exposed outside the frame.

7. Find three elements, one of which needs to be shiny--whether it be metal, glitter, jewels or sequins. Arrange the elements around, in front of or behind your photos.

Just want to know how particular you are on the photo sizing -- my little one is 3x3, so does the large one needs to be and even twice as large, meaning 6x6, OR can it be 6x9 ??
