When I think of November, I think of Thanksgiving. Now I'm ALL ABOUT the yummy food, but I also start thinking about things that I am thankful for (like being thankful that my dad is an AWESOME cook!! heehee).

There are so many things to be thankful for, so let's focus our attention to a specific kind of thankful. Tell me the thing you are thankful for.... that you never thought you would be. Maybe it's a person, maybe it's an event or a non-event (those unanswered prayers)... something that you NEVER thought you'd be able to say you're thankful for, but now... with some distance and some time between you, you can see that it was a blessing in disguise.

Post your layouts in the Bring It Gallery (http://scraporchard.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=630) with a link here so we can all leave you lots of love!! The deadline to post is November 30.

I was just thinking about scrapping this very thing, as the June Bug kit fits perfectly with what I wanted to title the page. It was not an easy subject to scrap, but it also fits this challenge.

At the time, I was obviously devastated. But I can now look back, knowing that if that pregnancy had not ended, then my 15 month old would not be here. And I am eternally thankful for her existance.

When I first read this challenge I immediately thought of the time we hiked to the Carbon River Glacier and how we have talked about how thankful we are that we did that hike when we did back in 2006, because in November 2007 there was a huge flood that took roads out and foot bridges making the hike unattainable to novice hikers like us, so we are soooo thankful that we did this hike even though it was a difficult for us, even then, and I will tell you after that 7 mile round trip hike, I had the best Mike's Hard Lemonaide I have ever had!!!

Thank you for this challenge. You inspired me to create a page that I have been wanted to do for a while. This will be the start of a book I plan to create for my girls.

I finally got my Bring It lo done. Nothing like waiting for the last day. I blurred the journaling because it contains too much personal information. It is about how my children came into my life. We dealt with infertility for several years. Two of our children are adopted and two came by miracle through my body. Thanks for the challenge. http://scraporchard.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=20188

Tiffany- although I wasn't able to read your journaling (understandably) I admire- and appreciate your scrapping. I haven't suffered from intertility- but my best friend was unable to conceive without substantial intervention. She has two gorgeous boys through egg donation and in vitro -and I know she would never wish them to be other then as they are. However, I witnessed first hand the heartbreak and feelings (yes of -"unwomanliness"- as ridiculous as that seems to those of us who have not had to bear this pain). God bless you and all of your children.

I am also a huge adoption advocate and would love to hear your story if you are ever comfortable with sharing. Again- not something I have experienced myself, but I helped friends of mine link up with the birth mother for their second child and served as a reference for them. If my younger two didn't have type 1 diabetes, I would have liked to adopt internationally if my husband and I were acceptable to any of the programs available. With this on our plates, however, we decided that we just couldn't commit the time, emotions, and yes, money, and be fair to all children involved.

I hope I haven't overstepped boundries- just wanted to let you know that your post touched me.
