About Us

Scrap Orchard is owned and operated by two sisters, Kami and Mel, who aim to create a digital scrapbook community which reflects their fun-loving personalities. We opened for business on April 1, 2008, and ever since have focused on providing a positive, friendly environment with a wide range of high quality, original and unique digital scrapbook products.

Both Kami and Mel have strong backgrounds in visual arts and computers, so digital scrapbooking is a natural fusion of the two interests for them, in addition to their respective business backgrounds. Kami has her bachelors degree in Sociology with an emphasis on Business Management which has proven to be invaluable in terms of marketing and business development. Prior to embarking on the development of Scrap Orchard, Kami had her own successful photography business, specializing in weddings, children, and family portraits. Mel has over 10 years of work experience in office management in everything from the medical to technology fields, and for the past 5 years, she has worked as a web designer in both civilian and government sectors. Mel is currently working towards a bachelor degree in Computer Science.

The sisters bring a strong emphasis on customer service and satisfaction to their business, along with carrying the highest quality of digital scrapbook products. They are constantly striving to not only provide a friendly community, but also a user-friendly website where customers will enjoy their shopping experience. You will find plenty of family-friendly banter between the site staff and lots of interaction with all those who visit The Orchard.
